Real Family | Dockins Crew

November 2, 2017
02 Nov 2017

Welcome back, everyone, and Happy November!

I just have to share the spectacular photo session I recently had with the Dockins family. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either.
Dockins Family Fall 2017 14

I met John and Alia Dockins at one of my brother’s annual parties. We soon scheduled a shoot near the National Museum of African American Culture and History. I loved shooting on the National Mall in DC because every direction offers a great scene.

For our shoot, the Dockins’ brought sweaters for their young sons, and even a sports coat for 3-year-old Ian. I was able to work in the props and the outfits they chose, which really made for some amazing photos. I mean, how cute is baby Kyle?

It truly was a fun photo shoot. And if any of you are considering a family session or are prepping for an upcoming session, heed the words of Alia:

“I enjoyed taking the pics with you and would do it again,” she says. Solid advice!

Okay, on to pictures of the Dockins family!

I’m currently booking holiday photo sessions! Email me at insana@insanacollins.com for your own portrait session or holiday party. My clients also love that they are able to text me at 202-738-9007, and I’m happy to accommodate. Until next time,

Insana 🙂

Nana, Morgan and Ethan…and Andre too

December 28, 2011
28 Dec 2011

Nana and her two younger siblings, Morgan and Ethan, said their mother has never had photos of her three children together. This Christmas, they provided their mother with a full album of images which, I heard, brought her to tears. Here are a few of those images that I shot on a cold winter day in December, 2011.

Bonus photo of Nana and Andre together 🙂
